Post: On the search for my old turbo coupe

I sold my old 86 TC a couple years back, due to financial issues. Since then I'm at a point where I could build one right. So, I'm kinda on a quest for my old car (or shell, at the rate the first buye...
Thread: VC grommet for breather UPDATE 4/26/13
Post: RE: VC grommet for breather

I don't know of one off hand. I use to use a little RTV around it to seal it in place. Just make sure you clean off as much oil as possible. Another idea you might want to try is relocating it. Af...

Get a SVO, 93 cobra, 94-95 GT/Cobra master cylinder instead of the 87-93 stock mustang.

I sill have a pair of these new and unused. Gives me a reason to buy another turbo coupe/turbo cat. :P I think he sells them for about $30.
  Thread: Bypass Valve
Post: RE: Bypass Valve

You don't need to go to mass air (though, it is a nice option and way better for metering), but a bypass valve is needed (personally) on these cars. It'll save the turbo in the long run and won't bog ...

Post: RE: my 88's wonderful morning surprise

If you already have the parts, I would. It's amazing how many problems can be caused by poor/low voltage on these cars. I blow a couple of had gaskets, only to find out that the alternator didn't have...

Post: RE: I miss this place...

Yeah Natmac3, I've been poking my head around on the message boards again. A lot has change with the 2.3's. There seems to be more support for them, compared to the normal 3-4 companies. With my new j...

After seeing this post, I'm wondering if some of these computers are going to be needing a recap soon? Electrolytic caps do dry out over time...

Post: RE: I miss this place...

I have that same feeling. I love my BMW 325i as a daily driver, but I miss the tinkering and modding to make my old 86 TC faster and more fun (just not the trying to keep it alive for a 70+ mile a day...

Did you unplug the spark plug wire from the cap and see if there is spark? No? Test the TFI module. Yes?>>>> Check the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and turbo hoses.

Looks good! I dig the flat black. Just needs a 16+ inch wheel. :)

Post: RE: Rear shock absorber

Chuck W makes some nice adapters for using the mustang shocks. The ones I have are made from steel, not aluminum. Are you going to use the 79-93 or 94-04 rear shocks?

Go with a T3, 255 pump, 3" down pipe, and an adjustable regulator for starters. The intercooler is ok, and putting a fan on it isn't really going to do much more for you.

Post: RE: A LITTLE HOT !

Blown head gasket or warped/cracked head? I had the same problem. I found out that the head gasket started to go and warped the head a little.

Post: RE: Any info on two steps?

I'm looking for info to prove something to someone at work. I already know these things. I need to prove that you can yank the front tires with a two step, but still run only 14's....

Post: RE: vote on aftermarket clutches

For $399, I'd get a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. I ran the Spec Stage II/III clutch and it was fine for the first 1500 miles. After that, it glazed so bad that it would slip in all five gears. Th...

That's one of them that I was looking for. I was also trying to find the pic of the car (maroon 87-88 TC)....

I'm trying to find some info on who's car it was that was pulling the front wheel only running 14.5's with a two step...
  Thread: New Struts, What Fit?
Post: RE: New Struts, What Fit?

Yes, they are the same thing (I have them on my 86 TC). I recommend Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber plates with any of the 94-04 mustang struts for the front. If you lower your car, you can use the ...
