Ok i just put new doors on my car from an 88 v6 thunderbird but it has chrome window molding and ive figured out the bottom piece pretty easybut i cannot get that ugly chrome molding off the top and around the mirrors any ideas?

You have to take the side mirror off and I think the molding clips in. There maybe a hidden screw or two.

The chrome strip across the top is held on with rivets.I drilled them out,installed my black trim and used very small screws to hold it in place.Worked like a charm.I used a small flat blade screwdriver and a hammer to gently chisel the rivet heads off.Easy stuff.
