Okay, I need a bit of help here.
From what I understand, there was no black on black leather Turbocoupe for 87 or 88.
A few years ago when I was looking for a TC, I came across one advertised online. It was black, with jet black leather interior. The door inserts were black also. Even the dash trim, etc looked 'blacker' than the charcoal I have.
I only thought of this again because I was poring through an old backup of my system and found the text of the ad. The website it was being advertised on is long gone, along with the pictures. But I swear that thing was black on black leather, and that's what the ad blurb I have left says.
Knowing how expensive it is to put in a custom leather interior.. is there any logical explanation to this, or did this guy just spend $$$$$$$$ to go black?
Never understood out of all the colour combos why Ford didn't offer black on black. This car I saw it in was just gorgeous with it.
I'm interested in this because on the very off chance there ever were such a colour option available, that is how I'd like to do my own. I like the black exterior but I'm not enamoured of the charcoal and grey interior. Before I saw that black one, I had been searching for a blue on blue leather like my Dads, because it was all solid colours.
It's gotta be just a custom job right?
