I was too thinking of T-tops at one time.
88 TC

HY 35, Ported Oval head w/OS valves, EEC Tuner, Bob's MOAL, .510 lift cam, Tial 38mm wastegate, K&N in fender, Kirban AFPR, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, 57 lb inj., GN intercooler, Gillis valve, Race eng. adjustable cam pulley, HKS SSQV BOV, Steeda Tri-ax shifter, 4" DP to 2 1/2" exhaust, no muffers, Timing set to 12* BTDC, 26 psi of boost. Needs to get tuned!

Funny. I was at the local PNP and someone cut the roof off of a TC. When I saw it I thought that it looked pretty cool.Just you had to do something to the door glass frame.
1988 Thunderbird Sport 351w/5.8L swap, Mustang 4R70W trans swap, Turbo coupe front brakes and rear diff swap with turbo coupe prop valve, Turbo coupe hood, Turbo coupe wheels.

There was an outfit in Florida a few years back that would make a conv't out of any car, just bring the money. It cost a min of $10 k up per car, this was in the 80's. They had some cars worked out and could give a firm price otherwise it was a blank check. I never saw a fox body Bird attempted. There were a few inquaries but they didn't ever give a quote. The sheet metal is too thin, it would require building a complete frame and the Bird people never did come up with enough money to start the grand experiment.
83 dead bird, in pieces however I'm reading from the book of the dead, should be running soon.
