2.5L Stroker Question

I've seen that some of you have your motors stroked. I was wondering if you were using the Ford Motorsport Kit. In the catalog it says it is for 89-up. I know if it is compatible you would need dished pistons and perhaps rods. I'm going to need to rebuild my 87's motor before long and that's one of the options I'm considering.

Thanks,

The 2.5 Stroker is for 89 and up due to the fact that the main journal sizes are different.

You can go with a longer rod 5.5" or 5.7" and shorter piston (what I did).

You can get "adaptors" for the earlier blocks that install like main bearings.
I know Racer Walsh carries these and I imagine E$$linger and Tiny avenger as well.
Call around!
