I got a code twelve in the climate control indiacting a sensor issue. The thing stays on high fan at times. Where do I find the sensors and are the still available from ford?
Tanx for the help!

Well since you must know how to run the ATC codes, you must know that code 12 can be produced if the interior temperature is below 50 degrees. Right?

If you ran the test while the inside temperature was above 50F and got code 12, then you need to focus on two sensors in addition to the ATC module and wiring. The ambient sensor is located in the outside air duct of the evaporator case. The in-vehicle temperature sensor is located above the equalizer if you have that option.

You'll need to pull the ATC module out and test a few circuits measuring the resistance to see if both sensors match the value for the current temperature.

Oh it was above 50 for sure. I was sweating my but off! ;^)

Okay measuring the resistance of a few circuits sounds like French to me. I do slightly know my way around an ohm meter but need some help on this. is there a site or a book that gives it to me in deatil? Or can someone help with that?

Thanks

Remove the EATC module and unplug the electrical connectors to the EATC module.

i *think* you'll want to measure the Red/Orange and Pink/Black wires for the ambient temp sensor resistance. Note the value as well as the interior temperature.

For the in-car temp sensor, i believe it's the white/orange and light blue/orange wires. Measure the resistance on those two wires and note the value.

It's been a while since i've worked on the system.
