Yeah...but what Tom forgot to mention is that (shortly before the Cobra Driver left [Image: rolleyes.gif] ) the rest of us asked him what it felt like to be BEAT by a 2.3L TC on pump gas running only 12 pounds of boost that weighed 600 pounds more than his Cobra LMFAO !!!! [Image: biggrin.gif]
Tom is our "ringer"...we tell people his is a 2.3L hehehehehehehe !!!
BTW...my FIRST race that day (if this was the Richmond trip Tom), I beat a supercharged Grand Prix. [Image: smile.gif]

Hows that beat a fibreglass Corvette that weighs 600lbs less than you with that? He must have been one hell of a driver to lose if thats what you had, or you are one insane driver.
I've dusted loads of "modified" 95-03 Civics and Accords up where I live which doesn't say much, a 454SS, Lincoln Mark VIII, Caddy STS, got smoked by a modified Buick Grand National, but I think a Lightning would kick my @ss, those engines make ~370ft lbs with 3.73s to back it up, I don't know how GT350R got 3 cars at 130MPH on him.

I guess it did not happen then [Image: rolleyes.gif]

Different time Dan, this was just back in late March. Yea I got one of those supecharged Grand Prixs too(actually it was the lone Buick[Century?] that was hanging with that group of SC'd GPs). Slapped him good, ran a 13.34 to his 14.03. [Image: biggrin.gif]
On a serious note, every time I've been to the track, people will come back to the pits and ask how I get the 4 cyl to run so hard.
Of course they are usually dissapointed when I show 'em the 5.0. My point is, anyone who can get one of those little 2.3s to run really good is gonna get some healthy respect.

I guess we both lied. We should be ashamed. We should thank him for catching us and steering us in a new direction. We are so lucky he has shown us the path to truthfulness. Enough sarcasm yet?
