Drained the rad, replaced the lower rad hose non-spring (probably the original Motorcraft w/ spring), replaced the silicon turbo coolant hose, and the lower coolant manifold hose with a 45 degree elbow. Filled with about 80/20 mix, mostly distilled water, and a pint of Lucas water wetter. Didn't drain the block.
My 84, original 2 core copper radiator, runs quite hot in slow traffic since the fan doesn't come on until about 215-220 so I'm hoping the wetter helps. Today is a 100 degree day and spirited driving around town with the AC blasting it is regulating at about 210 so I guess there's nothing to worry about

my 17 year old daughter has hated my bird since someone at her school called it a rust bucket (no rust anywhere on it). This afternoon she brought her new boyfriend over and he started saying how cool my bird is...before he knew it was our driveway.
He came in wanting to know all about it and I handed him the keys and let him give it a spin...with me in the passenger seat and my daughter in the back. He was thrilled and I gave in a C+ on driving ability.
Anyway, now my daughter LOVES my car!

Finally got a 3rd party cup holder lol. Wedges between the center console and seat... it will have to do!
Such a basic necessity forever neglected for decades of automotive engineering

"RC Martin" I haven't got the detail of what I want done. Pretty much stock except for the T3/T4 upgrade. Got the block from Minneapolis from a fellow T-Bird lover that was rebuilding his 'Bird. Getting the block honed, hot tanked, blueprinted and balanced. Using the Ranger roller cam and pistons from Stinger.

Today installed the Canfield Industries bell housing adapter and the SPEC 2.3 to 5.0 flywheel. I also made some progress on designing my gas tank.

The other day scored a bunch of parts from an 87 TBird in the junkyard. I fought with the spare tire and Jack setup for over an hour. I eventually figured out the center hub in the rim was where the holding hook is supposed to go through. I was attempting to use one of the wheel lug holes, which is how I removed it from the parts car. Total wasted effort!! I did however walk away victorious.
I also brought home all the trunk carpeting and because I have most of it already in my car.... I tried doubling it up because I have such a lack of storage space. It actually fits together really well! I'm drying out the insulation from the junkyard bird before throwing it into mine.
I will be soon tackling some carpet cleaning methods to try and remove some of the rust/brown stains both carpet bottoms have.
Sold the 18" cobra r wheels in favor of going back to OEM. Put 3 of 4 wheels on because once upon a time somebody stole just one of my wheels sitting beside the house. I've sourced out another wheel and center cap and I bought a 225 tire to mount on it. The other 3 wheels have old and splitting tires so those gotta go immediately. I do want to drive the car around the. Neighborhood to see if the lowered front causes rubbing before spending dough on new rubber. I will get smaller in front if needed.
Also picked up some dollar store Oven Cleaner Degreaser to try and clean up the turbocoupe wheels a bit. It appears the old clear coat is yellowed a bit and needs attention/removal.
