You've got to consider that Holsets weren't even a consideration when the header was designed and that guys running that large of turbos were in the great minority. I designed it to fit around turbos people were using at the time. I emailed some of the "heavy hitters" to get their compressor housing diameter and made sure they all cleared...same goes for not offering a T4 flange, only a few people were running full T4 frame turbos at that time but now it is becoming more common.
Now tons of people are running holsets, have 400-500hp goals, and there are many more turbo options available that have many different sized compressor housing far larger than even 3-4 years ago.
To date, this is the first T04E hybrid I've heard of that didn't clear the runner. My SC50 isn't even close to touching.
Fortunately, it's a problem that is quite easy to fix. As for the plug wires, those who don't have the header swear you can't get to #1 or #2 plugs...those who have actually tried realize they only need a swivel socket and extension and all is well...you can pull them quicker than you can remove a stock IC to pull the plugs on a stocker.
