This weekend i will be installing the holset hx35 and stainless paired runner header. I will also have a built 8.8 that will be going in once the axle tubes are welded and braced and it gets blasted and painted. It's loaded with 3.73 gears, an auburn posi unit, mac girdle, and CHE upper and lower arm and axle brace. Plus it will have aero bird's stainless rear brake line kit.

I just ordered one of cooling mists direct port progressive alky kits.

Heres everything that's waiting to go on the car, i have my work cut out for me!

Holset hx35 and header w/38mm ext wastegate and 3" v-banded down pipe.

Cooling mist alky kit

Megasquirt II V3.0

Innovate LC-1 Wideband with XD-16 gauge

The built up and painted axle

A really nice un-cracked dash

140 mph FMS speedo

Greddy turbo timer

Stingers FMIC kit w/turbo xs rfl bov

David Godfrey's t-stat and timing pointer

Stainless front and rear brakes lines

Put the old 3" exhaust back on

Heres what i will be ordering soon:

digital cyberdyne oil pressure and water temp gauges

dynomax ultraflo welded muffler

3" cutout and 3" flex pipe

I also bought a REALLY nice 98 Contour SVT as my "family" car a coupe days ago too. Man they are fun cars to drive, they handle so nicely. All in all, life has been pretty good to me lately Smile

Hey Shay

Watch out for the contour svt. The 2.5 engine can have oil starvation problems if you turn right(IIRC) and go WOT. I guess ford did not baffle the oil panel enough. Just something I remember reading.

i've read plenty on the subject. im already a member of CEG Smile im not too worried about it, it's a big problem for track cars and stuff. you can either mod your oil pan with extra baffling or get the *updated* version. Ford wouldn't recognize the lack of baffling as a problem before, yet they updated the newer pan with more baffling..hmmm odd...
an accusump really helps too. any time the sump runs dry the accusump release oil up to 20 seconds then re-pressurizes when oil pressure comes back up.

Shay, When you get everything installed, snap some pics and email them to me, so I can see how it all looks. When you get it all done, it ought to be sweet and very fast....Tommy

the car is so very close to being back together and on the road its not even funny. Pretty much all i need to do is get an oil drain line, hook up the FMIC and tubing, and get the rear end back from being blasted and welded and put it back in the car. The holset and header look awesome in the engine bay, its a close fit but it fits good. I also need to find the time to build my MS2 and get that in the car as well. Ill post pics when its all said and done, no peaking!
