So im trying to get the oil return line off of the bottom of the turbo in order to get the WGA off (stupid design). My car originally is from the maritimes - i think there should be a law passed against maritimers driving and taking their cars to other places - because they are rust buckets. I tried my darndest to get those two 10mm bolts off - and no luck...and i rounded them. Am i screwed or is there a way around this problem that im not seeing in my fit of rage against the east?

I would spray the bolts down with some lube first (PB blaster) get a pair of vise grips and a torch. Make sure there's no lube residue before you start heating (we don't want to beat the kid who drilled a hole in his gastank for nitrous oxide). Heat the bolts up then twist them off with vise grips.

what ever you do, don't screw up the oil return line. They are outrageously priced and that's in US$$.

Firstly..these bolts on these cars have all been torqued down for a number of years in most cases...and a penetraint should be standard fare before attempting to break them loose...especially in cars that have been exposed road salt or sea air for long periods of time.

I would take the advise on spraying your rounded bolts with PB Blaster..allow it to penetrait , then maybe apply some heat...and invest in a rounded bolt remover set that Craftsman sells at Sears...sometimes you will even see it advertised on the Speed Channel for about $40.00.

This is s great investment for your automotive as well as household needs. I've used mine all of twice in two years..but if one rounded bolt stops you in your tracks?...it's money well spent.

I like the torch and lub approach - it works for taking out pesky rear end lower bolts(well on the last one it did, this one today...not so much) but i dont think theres enough room in there to hit them little bolts with a torch. They are on there mighty good too, i was reefing on them good till they rounded - and thats alot of force (broke 2 18mm sockets yeasterday attempting to remove rear end). I dont know if the bolt out thing from craftsmen would work or not, I just dont know.
