Sounds like some Illinois bs right there.
You know, I'm a fan of the environment. Naturally as an American I consume a little more than I should, but I recycle alot, hell I even carpool everyday to work and night school. I think if everyone helped out a little, things wouldn't be so bad.
That PA law however sounds like some tree hugging hippy bullsh*t. Haven't those people ever seen the loud pipes save lives bumper stickers???

I bet it's aimed at coffee cans that can set off house alarms.

The legislation is a product of "tuner wanna-be" kids that only have enough money for a stainless coffee can on the end of the tail pipe!
If law enforcement would only enforce the laws on the books, we wouldn't need more laws. I believe every state has a statute for "excessive noise" or something similar. Increase the fine and make the violator repair the "noise maker", that would leave those who enjoy their performance cars and respect the laws, to enjoy their machines.

That would be bad news. I would highly doubt that it will be passed. I'm surprised that we went as long as we did here without emissions. They just required it two years ago.

Umm, I find it ironic that PA would limit someone's right to select the steel product of their choice.

ya know, being that i live in PA now, Formally from NY, i think they have bigger fish to fry than that of aftermarket exhaust. i think they should concentrate on getting all the idiots off the cell phones so they can concentrate on driving! Also, what do any of you think about the no helmet law for motorcycles in PA???

Even if that law passed, there is a way to get around anything.Who would enforce it anyway, the muffler police ? "I pulled you over because you were speeding, also ,is that a Stinger 3 inch?" Gimme a break. On a different note,I would rather hear a Tuner-coffee-can anyday compared to those annoying ass Harley Davidsons. They scare my kids.To touch on our helmet law,you wreck, you are dead, one more I dont have to hear @ 3 AM.

The Insurance Companies agreed to the no helmet law, because it would be cheaper on them to have the rider die than having to pay for a lengthy hospital stay.
