Everyone is talking about their kills over the weekend. I only had one encounter. I don't count the SC I destroyed (6-7 cars by the end of second [Image: eek.gif] ) as a kill. I did have at it with a Saleen on the way home Sun. It was very close but I had him by a nose. We went from mid 2nd through 3rd gear. He was pissed. I guess he didn't like his S281 getting paced by a little 2.3. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Next year I'll have the car together, and a drivers license, (both at the same time even!). lol I've been saying that for the whole five years I've owned the car................ oh well

'84 turbo, electronics died and I had this 302 short block in the basement........ this summer I should have about 350/350 hp/lbft and I can tune it with a screw driver. try that with a honda!

I did:
35 mpg out @ 67 mph
33 mpg back @ 76 mph
(gotta love the honda! Was kinda tight for me, my two sisters, and all our crap... had some engine parts and clothes, etc.)

The show was great. I saw some Pinto's, T-birds, and my favorite the Shelby Cobra.

Any word on who the Olive Drab primered Tbird was? And what FMIC that is? It said "Griffin Radiator" on a big sticker... but they don't have any FMIC's listed (as far as I can see).

I hope to have the Pinto done for next year... Dad's picking up another a parts wagon. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Once I get the Pinto done I'm thinking a Factory 5 Cobra replica. Think I could slam a Lightining engine in there?

I want to let everybody know that I got my wounded bird home. I want to thank everyone who helped me out Sat. morning. You guys are great. I want to thank Dan, for the use of his timing light, Glenn for his suggestions on my break down, Andy for some of his tools, Eric for giving me his spare TFI and my son Steve for being my gopher(go-for) and anybody else who helped. Running home with only one screw holding the dist. cap down wasn't fun. The bird didn't like the hills. But we made it home safely. Once again, thanks for everything!
Ron.

Carlisle 2003!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, what can I say...I had the best and the worst time this year! I don't even know what story to start with! The hood, the border search, the many Canadian beer consumed & shared, the Huge burn out @ the Clarion, the go-karts, the Huge burn out infrount of the grand stands, Gators Turbo Ford Holliday shin dig, the Night at Wonda's(sp?) with some of the other crazey NATO Guys...you know who you are!, or the ride home with members from SCCOO (super coupe club of Ontario) & SOMO (Southern Ontario Merkur owners) the ride home was smooth for the most part !!! I think the slowest we went was 100mph!Wink

Any ways, It was great to see you all again this year! and I plan to be there again next year...if you will have me back that is!

My next mod...Hood Pins!

we need more big events like Carlisle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love em!

Garnet... glad to see you made it home! Without a doubt you had more fun than most (x2 [Image: biggrin.gif]), including the bad things. At least you will NOT forget Carlisle 2003...AHH! You better show up next year, what else would be have to talk about. LOL

Hood Pins... definitely!... unless you remove the hood latch from inside the car so you have to get out in order to open the hood. LMAO. Just glad you didn't do more damage or worse wreck it.

Glenn said I had to brag a bit since I won the clutch. Now that's out of the way, I would also like to say congrats. to all the winners in class, you guys really deserve it.
Thanks to Gary for all he did for the club, great job Gary. Other than the rain it was a great event, nice to put a name with a face.
Thanks to Scott for giving the clutch away and supporting NATO and turboford. Looking forward to next year.

The epoxy green monster was mine-I had a griffon radiator in the car at one time. The intercooler itself is a spearco "svo" unit. Also I limped the car back to upstate and found 3 of my intercooler hoses were cracked thus the stutter and low boost. I have it fixed but my tb to intercooler hose blows clean off at 15psi-Guess I need a t bolt clamp for it. Anyway had a good time this year thanks guys. Duane Poole
