I ran across one of those offers that you just can't refuse today and I'm hoping one of you guys can point me to the best source of info on Super Coupes (similar to this site or TurboFords site..)

It's a 1991 supercharged automatic with 99,600 one owner miles. Black, grey leather/cloth interior, loaded..moonroof, keyless, CD etc. No rust, no dents, mint rims.

The car doesn't start..turns over but doesn't catch. The engine is super clean and there are no leaks under the car.

I'm going to run the codes etc, check for spark, fuel..all the basics, but I'd like to do a little research on this style Tbird before I get going at it.

It was $500 bucks.. I figure if I can get it running for less than $500 more I did good. If it turns out to be something major (like holes in the pistons) I should still have no issue getting my money back on parts alone..but I'm hopeful it's fixable as it would be a shame to part such a nice Tbird.

Oh well, that's it.. just thought I'd share my find and see if someone knew where to go for info on this era Bird...

Check for spark. I've heard that the distributorless ignition modules are trouble-prone on these cars..

screw the DIS module... if the tach doesn't come up I guarantee you that its the crank position sensor.. happened to me on my SHO and they use the same DIS system

Hope you have little hands to work on it. We just sold our '90, won't miss it. Everything you do on one turns into a project.
