Oh it was above 50 for sure. I was sweating my but off! ;^)
You'll need to pull the ATC module out and test a few circuits measuring the resistance to see if both sensors match the value for the current temperature.
Okay measuring the resistance of a few circuits sounds like French to me. I do slightly know my way around an ohm meter but need some help on this. is there a site or a book that gives it to me in deatil? Or can someone help with that?

Remove the EATC module and unplug the electrical connectors to the EATC module.
i *think* you'll want to measure the Red/Orange and Pink/Black wires for the ambient temp sensor resistance. Note the value as well as the interior temperature.
For the in-car temp sensor, i believe it's the white/orange and light blue/orange wires. Measure the resistance on those two wires and note the value.
It's been a while since i've worked on the system.
