Alright, for the past while i've been runnin with my IAC disconnected so the car depending on the whether stalled out... No big deal
Just two days ago the car was running with almost no fuel, the car was starting to slow down and stall out. I thought it was just out of fuel or something, so i downshift into first and give it a bit of gas, next thing I know theres a big pop. Now my car bucks past 2grand through all the gears.
I still didnt think that much of it, until i got 5 bucks worth of premium plus fuel and the car still acted that way.
Can anyone help my diagnose this problem, as you may be able to tell I am fairly "new" to fixing cars and wouldn't have compression testing tools.
EDIT: I reconnected the IAC and the problem still continued.

It may or may not be fuel but have you run the COMPLETE fuel system diagnostics;

If it was that empty, might want to put a whole 4-5 gallons in it
These cars seen to lose fuel pickup on hard acceleration or hard turns when the tank get low. Any chance that's whats going on?

I just gave the car half a tank, it runs a little better but the problem aint solved.
Edit: As soon as I stop the car at a traffic light or yeild it behaves as if it has a wild came, really erradic idle pattern >800rpm and it bounces up too 1grand and then stalls out.

I'm likely just gonna have to bring er to a shop once again, as much as I hate doin it.
I can get it diagnosed cheaper than the tools would cost.

pull your IAC and clean it out really good and stick it back on and see if your problem goes away. I've had to do this before.

Guys, I have some bad news.... We just had our first heavy snowfall up in Manitoba today which meant slippery roads.
I was driving to get a chocolate milk, went through a traffic circle which had some slippery surfaces. I had to battle with the engine to keep the rpms up to prevent from stalling, and the rpms down to prevent bucking. Needless to say I slid and hit a street lamp post about 30km/h.
I think its safe to say the car is written off, she was a good first car for the price. RIP
PS: The car was blowing a shit load of black smoke out of the cracked DP > Ysplitter section.

I could try to rescue the engine as it is intact but theres some big problems going on deep down in the engine and i'm not all that great with vehicles, so I suppose i'll jsut cut my losses and get something more worthwhile for me.
