The fan for the heater doesnt work but when i turn it on to Ac it turns on the engine fan?Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated thanks

Check the proper fuse for the Heater Blower Motor. As far as the operation of the Engine Cooling Fan, that is normal for it to come on whenever the A/C is activated (including the Defrost setting)

Ive checked the fuses?Could it be the switch

Yes, it's probably is the switch. Ford should still sell that part for our cars, since I'm sure it's not TC specific. To check if it's the switch, unplug the switch and find the HOT wire, then jump it to one of the other wires in the plug. The fan should come on at different speeds depending on which wire you jump the HOT wire to.

If you don't have a HOT wire there, then that's the problem.

If your fan still doesn't work, it may be the fan motor itself (that would be rare, as they usually squeal because of bad bearings before they quit)
