WTF need help asap..torque convertor.................

my torque convertor is welded to the flywheel.WTF is it sposed to be like that? HELP PLEASE

By flywheel, I assume you mean flex plate.... manual trannys have flywheels, auto trannys have flex plates.

The TQ converter should be attached to the flex plate with 4 nuts. There are 4 threaded studs on the converter that fit into 4 holes on the flex plate, at least in every auto tranny I have ever seen. How is it welded? Did someone do a hatchet job on it?

Four welds around the outside, im tryin to pop the welds right now, but i may resort to the dremel(only thing i got) in a minute.ARG

GEEZ, someone did a real f***ed up repair on that!!!!
Can you tell why someone welded it? Studs on the converter stripped out?

Just wanted to let you know Im an idiot....the four welds were actually just flat surfaces for the bolts to tighten down on, the bolts were on the front side of the flexplate..............duh
