Yeah, that's what it kind of looks like in the pics of yours. I have no idea where mine fell off, probably somewhere on the side of the road. It almost looks like the brackets still on our cars is riveted to the fender.

According to the post by 50racer, he indicated to just jb welding them on so I'm thinking it just may be a stud on the two brackets secured from behind, not sure about the longer piece on the bottom... Perhaps that is just for support of the molding as it doesn't seem to have any attachment points. I'll take a closer look tomorrow as I need to at least get the drivers side off before it falls off and I loose it.

The brackets are held on by a 3/8" nut that also secures the side marker light.  You need to loosen/remove part of the inner wheel house splash guard for easier access.  Tried to do it without taking the wheel off but it was just a lot easier with the wheel out of the way.  Spraying the nuts/stud with PB blaster allowed the nut to come off a lot easier.  I would make sure the nut goes on easy before installing as to not put any added pressure on the repair.  The two brackets are slightly different with the rearward one being a little larger.  I did use a generous amount of JB weld so hopefully it will be a solid repair... need to wait 4 - 6 hours to set up and 15 hours before use according to the instructions so I'm done until tomorrow.  Even if you were to get a NOS molding, I would reinforce the brackets as it is a very flimsy plastic rivet/weld through the two holes on each bracket.

Well don't do what I did...  I had test fit one side and it was good, didn't bother with the other side.  Today went to install the other side and it wouldn't sit flush???  Like a dumb ass I put one of the brackets on upside down.  I can tell you the JB weld worked really well, almost too well.  I was able to use a dremel cutoff wheel between the bracket and molding and was able to remove it without any damage.  Turned it around and remounted with JB weld.  After it set up a bit I did test fit and all is good.  Just need to wait until tomorrow for the JB weld to set.

You may be able to get to the nuts securing the brackets from the access hole behind the bumper... for sure the front bolt, the rear one may be a little tricky when trying to reassemble.  The wheel house splash shield is somewhat stubborn to work with... the plastic push rivets are pretty much disintegrating after all these years... I did order some off amazon but they are a little pricey ($10 for 15).

I was able to access the passenger side mounting nuts on the bracket studs through the opening in the lower bumper, the drivers side is a little more difficult with the horns and windshield washer hoses in the way and you may need to access the rear mounting nut through the wheel house.

Thanks

Yes indeed, I checked the drivers side and it's loose and ready to fall off too!  I'll be looking at that tomorrow!  I'm hoping that the piece just unbolts from behind.  Looking on ebay I see there is one NOS drivers side available but can't really see well in the photos the attachment posts.  The one that fell off doesn't have anything that resembles the photo.  I'm hoping that the brackets will jb weld to the trim and attach from the backside.
