well i finally got a friday off, and decided i was gonna spend it cleaning up the car and tying up loose ends. so i finished all the little crap that needed done. every mod that i own is installed and tuned. the tire pressures are perfect, its kinda clean. i know, lets hit the strip!

no. car runs like ass according to a fellow t/c owner, and after driving his car, i decided he was right. i was goona go slow if i hit the strip tonight. something didnt feel right about the car. so i checked the timing, and there it was, 7 btc. what an ass i feel like. i went 3 degrees the wrong way. damnet. well i reset it and wow what a rocketship this thing really is. so i hit the track.

she ran a 16.015 at 84 the first pass, but i did a raggady launch, and she bogged down bad. plus i was only at 16 psi, and i know she can handle more. the next run my buddy john did, he ran a 17.somethin. he missed 2nd. ass.
then i ran my 3rd and final pass, after turning up the boost to 17.5ish, (drumroll)15.485 at 89.22 mph. not to bad for 180,000 some odd miles. original turbo and everything. i was soo pleased. i love this car twice as much as i did yesterday. i cut a .225 light(or 5.225 for you pro stock guys) which aint to bad for my second pass ever. beat a 97' 350 YUKON too(dad [Image: biggrin.gif])
thank you for all you help NATO, you guys rock. i wanna mess with the timing a little more, and make a run at 18-19 psi. i think she can take it for 15 measley seconds.

now the downside of the night.
on the last pass, i broke the shit outta my driver side motor mount. snapped the retainer ring and everything. im kinda proud of that, even though ive heard you cant get these anymore..(is this true?)
on the last pass i also did a really happy power brake, simply because, where else can you do one legally? well i got rubber on my right quarter panel, but not the left. i think my posi is going bad. can you still get the reuild kits for these? i hope so.
oh well all in all it was great, and i love turbos!

moller

thanks again guys...keep on turbo!

That's great to hear. I can't wait to get mine running, and take it for it's first trip down the 1/4 mi.

Newbie moron. A .225 light is a .725 on the old 500 tree, and Pro Stock runs the 000 tree. I though I taught you better. Though you gain 2 points back for making John look dumb and beating your dad.
