wont start please help

I checked all wires they are all correct..the timing is right on tdc facing cyl..1?????

Have you checked for power at the coil with the ignition switch on? Also with it in the cranking position? You may have a bad ignition switch. It is real common with the TCs.

Yes their is power at the coil, the ignition switch was replaed i just put the second one in today....i have no idea what else to look at....

If you can get a hold of another computer, swap them and see what happens. Check all of your engine grounds as well. I know how you feel. I've been there. Good luck!

You have an 86 that has a CHECK ENGINE light?? Are you sure? I thought Ford didnt start putting in CELs until 87 at the earliest. My 86 Tbird EVTM doesnt show the wiring for a CEL.

Have you checked to be sure the timing belt hasnt skipped / broken? Broken timing belt will cause no spark.

I think that is my next step swapping the computer hopefully thatll get me somewhere....i m sorry the car doent have a cel i thought it was on their ith he check and etc....we'll swapcomp an see what happens.

Auto Zone supposedly has reman computers.

Before you do that, have you checked to make sure the distributor turns when the engine is cranked?

Yes i have checked and the distributor does rotate while the engine is cranking, i also checked the timing belt and that is good too....
