Ok you guys helped me get my car running about a year ago and just wanted to thank everyone again for the help. Now I have a new issue and I will start from the beginning. I replaced the alternator on my bird. I had two of the small wires on the back of the alternator swapped. I started the car and it would not charge. So i switched the two wires on the back of the alternator and it started and was charging. It ran fine no issues. So I parked it and pulled the battery cable off. The next morning I get up and paint a few brackets and things under the hood. I go to start the car and when I turn on the switch the windshield wipers and the windshield washer motor comes on. I can't turn it off by the control on the column. So i try to start the car... Nothing. Car turns over fine but acts like it isn't firing. So every time I turn the key off and back on the windshield wipers and washer motor come on and run for about 30 seconds then go off. I checked the spark and it is VERY orange and sometimes white. I know from past experience a car usually will not run on a orange spark. The spark at the coil is very blue but out on the plugs its very orange. I have swapped out the distributor and a few different tfi's I had laying around. Also swapped the coil and dizzy cap and nothing. Also swapped the eec. Car doesn't even try to run. So after looking around with my test light the round plug near the lower intake which runs down to the dizzy and to the injectors I think may be my problem. I have one red wire that is hot when key is on. The other red wire blinks on and off. It isn't really consistent blinks its erratic. Then there is a brown wire that is hot when you first turn the key on but when the windshield wipers turn off so does the brown wire.. I don't see why there would be a wire in that harness that has anything to do with the wipers. ANY help or ideas would be greatly appreciated as this problem is driving me crazy. I will post up a picture of the plug I am referring to

(UPDATE)
Problem is fixed. There is two small grounds that bolt to the fender next to the battery. That bold had worked loose and was not making a good ground. I hate wiring problems, but happy I am running again. Now I can make a trip to the track tomorrow..

I could be wrong, but I THINK that's where the ground for the PCM goes. I thought there was supposed to be another wire coming off that ground on the fender that went straight to the battery, though. :dunno:
