wing installation

I have an 86' turbo. I have had a wing from an 83 firebird looking at me all winter. I was just about to drill into the trunk when I noticed that to line up the wing on the trunk lid, I would not have a long enough screw to get through the trunk interior. Does anyone have some advice or pictuers from inside the trunk to help me out. Thanks in advance!!

The obvious answer: Get some longer screws!

What exactly is the problem? Would the wing support legs be right above some of the trunk bracing sections? If that is the case, just use a 1" or so hole saw to cut an access hole thru the bracing where the screws that hold the wing on need to go.
