hey guys, how do you remove the back window? what about the 1/4's? my 88 has rubber trim around the back window. Any pictures would be helpful.

I've never pulled a back window, well, not in one piece anyway. lol. I've pulled a lot of 1/4 windows though. You need to pull the interior panel and you'll see the mounting studs on the inside. I've removed the nuts and then pushed on the studs, little by little, to get the window to move out. You start out trying to be delicate, but some of those windows are awful stubborn, so you tend to get a little braver as you struggle. It also depends on how much sealant they used at the factory and on the temperature. The warmer it is, the easier it is to "break" the seal.

when I had the rear trim replaced at a 50 year old auto glass shop the guy,( who worked there like 20 someodd years) busted his A$$ getting that window out. Basically pushed and pulled this chisel thing for about 20-30 minutes. Cursed the whole time too. lol. I don't think I would try it myself if it's the original. He said next time the window has to come out, (hope never) it wouldn't be that bad. Different sealer I guess. That old stuff was like cement. Good luck. The 1/4's are like above.

The back window needs to be removed from the inside of the vehicle. I have air tools and electric tools to make the job easier, but if you only have hand tools then you would need a long utility knife and some lubricating liquid to let the blade slide and that would be more or less the way to remove. Let me know if you need some more guidance.
