Im looking for some side window shades, the little tinted plastic jobs, that fit on top od the window, like a little awning and,

Headlight covers. preferably tinted ones, to keep the new lenses I have from turning out like the old ones, all yellowed, and stuff.

Anyone have a favorite, and where to get some cheaply...

Summit Racing has the window ventshades. Several different ones. In the $30-50 range.

They carry the GTS brand of headlight covers, but '87-88 are the only years they don't stock, apparently. The part numbers are GT0226, and GT0219. No idea what the difference is between the two. The GTS web site says they both fit the Thunderbird, but the 226 are Turbo Coupe specific, it seems. Aren't the lights identical? Is there a subtle difference in the header panel on the base Tbird?

I might call Summit, and see whats up with the covers; i'd really like to get everything at one place.

The header panels are slightly different between base/TC. Base birds also have a grill instead of a solid nose.

I have a pair made by Ventshade. The part number is 92209 (87 - 88 Thunderbird/Cougar 2 dr. all). I bought them about 6 - 8 years ago directly from Ventshade and as with everything for our cars not sure if they're still readily available.

I ended up finding the Ventshade brand from JC Whitney. They have a sticky edge on them, and stick into the window channel, and seem to work well. The windows doesn't roll all the way up, but still seals the opening, when it butts up to the clipped in shade.

Still looking for the light covers, cheaply, and in stock... have an order from Summit Racing, but im not holding my breath.
