I found this t-5 trans but I need to know if it will work in my "88 Turbo Coupe. i was told it came from a "88 Mustang 2.3 but it looks a little different from the one I pull from my car. It has a electrical conection on the top driver side that mind doesn't have. It also looks like the speed-o-meter is cable driven. These are the numbers I can find.
ID. tag # E7ZR-7003-AA REP-AP
13-52-162 50407 H2072

Trans #'s
Top Plate #13-52-097-913
Front section #13-52-065-908
Tail section # 13-52-066-919

Will this one work?
Can I use my speed-o-meter sensor?

well it is an 87/88 trans from a mustang, but that is all i can help you with. your tibrd has an electrionic setup for te speedo which has sensors involved with it. so the cable speedo gear wont work. unless you dont mind finding a speedo from a mustang and installing it. or a mechanical aftermarket auge

Same tranny, just install your speed sensor from the TC tranny on the Stang gearbox. Don't need the connector on the top of the tranny, cut it off...

There should be a metal tag bolted to the case near where the front and rear halves join. What numbers are on that tag?

I used the info from Pete and it appears it's an 87 from a Mustang. Will putting my TC speed sensor in place of the mustang cable driven on work? What was the top sensor used for?
