Hello Everyone, I am kinda new to the forum, but have owned my thunderbird for a long time. I usually can find what i am looking for on here but now i am stumped. I was driving to work one day and all of a sudden my car just start misfiring or so it seems. I have the car towed back home and now it will not idle at all. I can start it and have to keep the rpm at 2000 to keep the car on. I have done the all the fuel test. I at first noticed the fuel pressure drops really fast when the car dies but i have replaced the fpr twice. I have new spark plugs, wires. I dont know where else to look. Oh! I ran codes and got nothing. If anyone has anything that would be great. Thanks

Daryl

I would check for leaks in the intake. Do visual inspection and/or an intake pressure test - you may have blown off or blown a hole in a hose somewhere.

Okay so, i have been trying to make that intake pressure test thing with no luck. I cant really find everything for it and the link doesnt show how they put it together. Is there another way to test the intake pressure. Oh another thing i was able to get codes from it 13, 25, 74, 77, 87. Also i hear now a knocking noise. Any more suggestions????

If it helps at all, below is what I use for pressure testing. Everything besides the silicone hose coupler is sourced from lowes plumbing department. I can't remember exactly what all of the pieces are called, but spend some time brainstorming in the plumbing department and you'll figure something out. I just run a hose between the adapter and a blow gun connected to the air compressor for air supply.
