Will a N/A TPS sensor work?

Hi guys new to the board. I have been lurking for a few months now. I drove the car for the first time to work today and when I got off the freeway my idle was at 2500rpm. I suspect a worn TPS sensor. My question is can I use any adjustable one from a 2.3? I have more options in price and brand.

Thanks Dave

what's the worst that will happen? try it. I see no reason why it won't. I am using one from an older ford ranger right now, it just happens to be what was in the parts bin. it still is a bit goofy though. I get the sticking idle but its at about 2k.

if I take it off let it sit for a week or so, and clean it out good, it will work like normal for about 2 weeks then start hanging the idle again. my problem seems to be the methanol injection. I think it forces into the tps and makes it act up.

Yeah the TPS is not Turbo-specific. The TPS for the TC cross-references to a bunch of other vehicles.
