I was looking at my 30 year old skinny spare last night, and I decided I ought to pick up an extra wheel. Will ordinary T-bird wheels fit? For trunk wheels I much prefer the skinniest thing that'll work but isn't limited to 50 miles.

So it turns out they do. I got a 14" t-bird wheel at the junkyard and it does in fact clear the rear brakes. It could be used for a spare. Now that I have an entire spare car, I don't necessarily need it, but it seemed like an interesting option at the time. It looks like the tire rack does offer a few tires that would be the right diameter.
