By the way there are FORD parts on my Mazda 3, which was built in Hiroshima, Japan. So much for all American or Japanese made! LOL. Heck there are alot of Foreign parts in our T/C's also. But the Majority of the parts are U.S. sourced. JUST BEING A WISE GUY. LOL. Yes, Ford sold 30% of its ownership in Mazda back to Mazda leaving them with 21%. Still, Ford and Mazda collaborate on many projects and it is a good thing. Ford needs a little guidance on how to make a better interior and small cars.

LOL hey man does that mena my brothers old 74 ironhead sportster was a rice rocket cause it would pull one hell of a wheelie LOL but it was also was retardly fast. Oh also a R34 is a nissan R34 GTR skyline. http://superstreet.automotive.com/63864/...index.html
Lol and as for rice most ppl just call cars that are made in japan "rice" and really ya some of them are ricer bodykits, wings and big wheels an no balls but then there are some that should be deemed imports aka skyline, supra, silvia,TypeR integra and so on. Lol If i could do it id love to figure a way to mount a s2000 head onto a ford 2.3 block could u imagine a 300hp 2.3 with a v-tech head it would have power at all rpm ranges and if the bottom end could keep up it would hold power all the way to 8000rpm!

Time to have some fun.
Zbird, I know Jap and American parts are infused. Makes a better part. What the hell, I call myself a Scotch mun, but I am many times confused. You can laugh now. You are forever a Wise Guy.

Timmay, Answer is YES. But then again If you want to be a Wise Guy? Read on.
I know that Sportstars (Sportsters) are fast. Flat head, Knuckle head, Pan head, Etc. I also know if you have the balls to place your xxx on the rear end of the fender of any bike you can get the front wheel off the pavement, ground, Etc. Etc.
What I meant by popping a wheelie is when I know it is coming and look out the rear few mirror, or seeing it head on. All I see is the under carriage with a helmet sticking up above the handle bars. I ***ume the rider is standing on the pegs as to look over the bars? You tell me? Never done it. But that is a Rice Rocket. Period

As for Jap cars. I was just being nice. Rice is something you eat. And who grows and eats more rice then here in good ole US of A? Also builds some very good and lasting fast wheels, two or four?

Tim, Just me about this. Change one thing to make a TC go faster. KN air filter. It is no longer a stock car. You want to go fast, real fast in your TC? Lose the weight, Or put a big block in it.
If a 4 banger will produce 400 street HP with a turbo? An 8 banger will produce 800 street HP with twin turbo's. Go for it and spend the big bucks. OR, Get yourself a Rice Rocket.

Love this thought -- Honey, look what I bought you. If you go to work on this you will get there on time. She says, That looks like a -----. Yes Honey, It is called a Rice Rocket. LOL

Spring is not far. Drive what you got and enjoy it. bobbymac

I just hope what ever car you/your wife picks out doesn't crush like a tin can like I did to that 08 Focus, the airbag did twice the amount of damage then the hit did to my old chevy Rolleyes

Rice, ricer, rice rocket, etc. there all just names and more then not used to degrade a car, I still think its funny how after WW2 japan was driving around in US of A cars. Pop in an old Godzilla tape, all you'll see are Trans AMs and etc.

Like 1sicpony I won't ride a "rice rocket", seen them at drag strips. There only pulling off 7s with nothing around to catch them, when I die I would like to put in an urn. Not a cup holding my luqids Sad

New cars are not designed to look really pretty or to be really cheap to fix after an accident. Instead, they are designed to transfer as little of the impact energy as possible to the occupants.

Shiny Side Up!

Wait, where does this go?

Per a current article in the WSJ, Ford now owns a 13% stake in Mazda.

I'll admit that I haven't always been impressed with a rusted 4 door import with a 6 inch fart can on the back. But is that any different than the headers and gl***packs I shoved on a 4 dr, 2 speed auto Corvair back in the 60s?

Some build for "go" some for "show and go" and some just for "show". We are all car guys under the skin and we should keep that in mind. We need that unity rather than infighting. There are too many elected clowns ever trying to limit our hobby

PeteD, Didn't know a Corvair came in a four door. My girl friend had a stick. Never drove it but I remember it shot out from a stop like a Vet.

Infighting? I would rather call it disagreement. So far on this sight, nothing has gotten out of hand. (As it has on other sights.)
We are good people. PeteD, You and your co-horts help keep it that way.

Godzilla tape? Almost forgot. Thanks Josh.
Glad you gave them up. The kids can have them. Riding around in a helmet that looks coo-well, but is called a brain bucket. Not legal here in NY but they still wear them.

Bill442, I agree about the safety built into new vehicles. I ask why? (I will answer myself.) Do I see these little fast cars in most of the accidents? Answer -- Someone driving it thinks? They can start out a little later to get to work. When they find out they are not a NASCAR driver? It is too late...

My worst fear is hitting one of these **** cans doing 10 mph in my big truck or SUV. Having my hand broken when it hits my face because an air bag deployed. Forget about the smoke that got shoved into my nose or eye. macbobby

So I was using Google searching for something I had posted on another forum and this thread popped up. Hard to believe it has been over four years! lol!

Since this time I have bought at least two more TCs, an Explorer, a Porsche, and two Fusions. I'm officially car poor!
