I am looking at possibly getting a blue molding stripe for my 86 TC. Aerobird Motorsports used to sell them but I think they are no longer in business. Does anyone know where I can get this?

This link is for a red stripe. I deal with a local auto body supply place and they sell molding simmilar to ours. I don't know how many colors there are but it can be painted. I would try a local place, they should have something that would work. If they don't sell the color you want and you don't want to paint it you could always cover it with pin striping tape before you install it.

Aerobird Motorsports was local to me; I dealt with him on several parts for my TC's. I know where his house is and will stop by later this week and see if he is able/willing to provide us with any information on sourcing this colored molding stripe.

The molding can also be taped over to change colors.

I stopped by Aerobird Motorsports home, but no one was there. A couple neighbors confirmed that the same 'car guy' lives there, so I left a note on his front door telling him what we are looking for.
We'll see if he responds or not!
That's all I can do.

I stopped by where Michael lives again today, talked to his girlfriend who said she would have him call. And he did call this evening. What I was able to get from him is that when he was running Aerobird Motorsports, he took the time at a local body shop and went through hundreds of molding catalogs and found what he thought was exactly the right molding for our 87/88 TC's. He could not remember the name of the company he ordered it from but thought it might be 'Auto Trend', but that is a guess.
He also said that for the earlier TC's (like RDOG's '86) it is only some tape or pin striping from 3M that is needed.
Michael says he sold Aerobird Motorsports a couple years ago to another NATO forum member in Massachusetts, and along with the business sold him all his inventory, including a lot of the molding we are looking for. Any idea who the member is/was from Mass. that he sold it to?
That is about as far as I can push this one; sorry the information is so vague.
