I'm with you Bob. That car would be wasted on me. It wouldn't be low milage for long. I'd have to drive it.
The one at Carlisle had about 7000 on it I think.
Pete, As NATO president it is your duty to go look at that car...actually I think as NATO president you have the power to confiscate it. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Hawk, I did see one with only 400 miles on it, once, in PA.
I may see if I can get an audience. My wife even said I should go look at it (not to buy)
I remember the 400 mile TC as well, was there two years in a row('01-'02 I believe) in the cars for sale. It Had 422 miles first time and 423 the next year, and was a close to a new one as you'll find, even had the window sticker still on it. It was Black/red with all te bells and whistles. He was proud of it though, was asking $27,000.
Yea Pete you need to go check out this one, one of these days someone is going to want to start restoring these things and will need some reference material.

Thats me. I did it once with the red car & now I'm doing it on the Blue car. The blue will be bone stock for the wife & the red one will be heaviley modified. That one with 7000 miles that was in the pavalion this past Carlisle is only 20 miles from me & its all original except for the Goodyear Gaterback tires. Steve Bonzi also has a Bone Stock TC & It also looks like its out of the showroom... right down to the OEM Motorcraft Battery with the blue label. If anyone is restoring to original, Steve's the guy as he knows them inside & out. Check his site out for more info.

I tries to find his Wesite, but its not there anymore. Here is the link to his showroom page ---> http://www.turbotbird.com/showroom/sb_87tc.html
You can also e-mail him & he'll gladly talk with you about his car. Very nice guy & a purist about keeping it original.

$15k is just the starting bid, it's hard to tell what his reserve it. Forgive me, but I hardly think that thing is worth any more than $8k, $10k max. It's been sitting for 17 years, so the suspension has probably gone soft, just for starters.
