I searched. No responce

I have the fan in the garage. I have done the 130A 3g swap with a Explorer alt.Now how do I swap in the fan. It is the two speed and I was going to run it on the high. Anyone?

I have a two-speed Taurus Fan running though a switch mounted on the dash. The lo-speed was more than enough to cool my 87TC. Then the lo-speed died and I hooked it up to the hi-speed. Which is bloody overkill, that thing howls. lol. Right now I am getting a replacement motor and I am going to attempt to control the fan (hi and lo) through the IRCM with the switch as a backup.

As soon as the motor and my fuel pump show up I'll let you know how it works out.

Well I can tell you that at least one of the Taurus fan speeds work thru the IRCM. The wires were the same color so I just connected them together and ran the KOEO self-test. Still waiting on my replacement motor though.

I'll post my results.

Sweet. How did you mount it to the rad?

It's pretty simple actually. I'll take pics as soon as I can. But the fan is turned upside down and a bracket bent into a "u" shape is bolted to the fan's bottom (now upper)mounting tab. The bracket itself goes over the top of the radiator. The bottom of the fan slides into those clips at the bottom of the radiator. It doesn't budge at all, and removal is a snap.

Here are the pics. They aren't great but you should get the idea.

It works! Took it for a test drive and the fan came on slightly above the halfway mark on the temp gauge.

Now to clean up all the oil I just spewed out of the dipstick tube. Big Grin
