Does the car smoke out the tailpipes when first started cold? Does if smoke when you first give it gas from a stop? It sounds like you could have bad valve seals and/or worn intake valve guides. If it's antifreeze burning it will have a sweet smell, noticably different from burning oil.

Well I have a new refurbished head, so I don't think it could be that. I also have a code of 42 and I am thinking thatcould have something to do with it???????????

A Code 42 could most definitely cause that problem--it means you're running too rich. White smoke can be from unburned gasoline. I'd start by checking the fuel pressure regulator, if its vacuum line smells like gas then it's bad. The O2 sensor could also be suspect, but generally they cause a lean code (41) and would not screw things up so much that it would be spewing out unburned gas.

Hmm.. So you mean replacing the FPR helped and got rid of the code 42, but it's still rich at idle? Running cold would do this. About where does the temp gauge sit? Our gauges are quite inaccurate and vary from car to car, but it should be somewhere in the lower portion of the normal range. If you drive it hard to get it running warmer and then idle, does it still blow white smoke?

Try pulling the sparkplugs, if they are very clean then you might be burning antifreeze. If they're black and sooty, that's another good sign that it's running rich. Good luck..
