Ive seen on stingers website that he sells piping kits for NPR and Volvo intercoolers. My question is which volvo should be getting the IC from???

Not sure which one....Volvo IC's are really old school.
What other mods you got on that 88TC?

Boost controller and after this weekend 3" down pipe and ultraflo mufflers. Just thinking ahead and the Volvo intercoolers seem to be pretty cheap. And if I buy one of stingers piping kits I'd be good to go. Problem is he doesn't specify on which Volvo ic we need ??

That would be good info to have. I too would like to get rid of the OE intercooler. But can't afford 500.00 now , I'm saving for Boport stuff and a engine rebuild.

I hear you on that I'm right there with you on being on a budget. I actually was able to find a Volvo intercooler at the Carlisle Swapmeet for 30 bucks I believe it's off at 7:40. I can post pictures later if you want. I'm gonna be most likely using eBay intercooler piping kit and kind of make it work on my car. They say you need a Ranger radiator but I have a buddy who's a pretty good fabricator I want to have him look at it first and see if there's any possible way to make the 740 intercooler work with the stock radiator and condenser.
