That '86 looked better then some of the cars I see for sale! It makes me wonder why cars like this end up in junkyards and not for sale, even for parts. I would gladly buy a car like this and part it at home (assuming it needed to be parted) rather then spend days in the yard carrying tools and parts. Most yards won't sell whole cars so once they have it....it's there to stay.

What is the condition of the 84's chrome grille?
Can't tell because of the glare. Don't see many 84's anymore.

Jim, Is this the one?? It was an '83 and not much good left on it.

Sad tho since it's just like the one I'm fixing up except this one has a gray interior.

Oh yea..and their price list sheet says No Cameras, so make sure you hide it if you take it in.

They were D!cks today at Harry's U-Pull in Pennsburg. I used an old piece of carpet I found on the ground to carry out my parts since I left in a hurry and forgot my bag....AND THEY CHARGED ME $9 FOR IT!!!!! Said I brought it up to the window so I have to pay for it. D!CKS! As soon as I get a few more parts from the '83..I won't be going back there. Besides their prices have gotten nuts...I used to get out of there for $20 for a handful of parts...now they want $20 a piece!

Went back up to the yard today. IndianaJef, the '84 grill has a couple of good sized scratches on the top.

Oh yeah, there's another XR that just came in. '86 and it's complete. Even has a Supra bra on it. I grabbed the 90* oil filter adapters off both of 'em.

Topic: Where old TC's go to die>>>

I posted a Wanted Ad on Craigslist to see if I can catch any 83-84 TBirds BEFORE they go here to die.

Might be something to think about ....hey even if we can get one or two before they end up in the junkyard.

Rodney, there's a guy around here that has an '83 in good shape but he parked it because he thinks it blew a head gasket. Maybe Mike could buy it and part it out to you. Wink

The '83 has a front mount intercooler by the way. The guy went out and bought an '86 for a daily driver.
