I'm back... long absence, travel to memphis, bad stuff with the truck, ... christmas, new years, ... and finally snow in southeastern PA! which is cause for my dilema.
My winter cars seemed to have all been Fords with four lug rears (88 cougar, 84 t/c with drum brakes, 75 pinto, ...). So, I have kept a set of 14" 4 lug ford rims with studded snow tires in my garage. I tried to fit these to my 87 T/C, and ... duhh ... no go with the disc brakes in the back. The diameter seemed to clear, but the backing plate rubbed on the caliper as the wheel went around.
My question - did Ford make a 4 lug steel wheel that cleared the disc brake caliper? If so, what vehicle were these on?
Thanks for any info.
