Before I go hacking away at this thing I'm wondering if you can share your experiences with how tough it's going to be to get this thing out? I was going to cut the top of and take a socket to it.

When I replaced mine, it was tough to get loose but came out in one piece. I would used penetrating oil and letting it soak a while. I also used a torch to heat the fitting in the manifold then cooled the sensor only with a rag soaked in cold water to contract it, seemed to help and I eventually got it loose.

I didn't have any qualms about breaking off the top until I got the right tool. BFH works fine.

I got mine from Auto Zone, it was a Bosch brand. I think the same one was used on many different models. Mine's been in over 2 tears and is working fine so far.

Lonestar, did yours have the plug that matches the vehicle plug? Napas just has 3 wires coming out of the top. I suppose I could use the old sensor's plug as the donor...

The 3 wires function the same. The extra wires are for a built in heater that shortens warm up time.
