Hey all, have 88 TC, working on pulling the a4ld b/c of fluid leak. I noticed that the bolts that mount the drive shaft to the rear axle are external torx head? Can anyone tell me what socket to buy for these??
Thanks a million.

Sometimes loctite can be pita on the flange bolts. I bought a Snapon 12m 12 point 3/8 swivel impact socket. With an impact gun you can have those bolts out in no time.

^^^^ +1 on that, Mike. I use a regular 12 pt socket with an impact rated U jount and my 750 ftlb impact wrench. The bolts come out easy, and I havent broken the non impact rated socket yet.

Same here...
If you insert another boxed wrench into the open end of the 12mm you'll have more leverage to break bolts loose or re-tighten...
