I enjoy checking out the Classified Ads, both For Sale and Wanted. Lately it seems like Wanted posts are being replied to with "I have the part you need, PM sent with price". What is the big secret regarding parts prices? If I have a part someone needs, I will reply with, "I have your part, $50 shipped" or whatever. Just curious why there seems to be so some cloak and dagger surrounding the parts we're looking for?

Hmmm, Interesting observation...
I've never thought anything was undercover per se, about how people typically do business.
Some people prefer to post a quick reply with all details in the thread.
Some people prefer to handle their business personally, and that's ok too.
Bidding wars are specifically discouraged in For Sale posts, but if people want to privately negotiate pricing and/or trades when responding to Wanted Ads, that's ok.

This IS NOT supposed to happen. Right in the forum's description is the announcement "MUST INCLUDE ASKING PRICES or ad will be removed."
