What's in your parts pile?

I know that most of us keep some spare parts around. So - what are you hanging on to? Any jems you will probably never use, but can bear to part with? And I'm not talking about parts you're selling - just the ones you are holding on to.

Personally - I have a quite modest collection of spare parts on a couple of shelves. From memory:
  • Driver's Seat
  • Door
  • 2 Instrument Clusters
  • Dew Wipes that need to be installed
  • T3
  • RFE6
  • Short upper & lower intake
  • Side view mirror glass
  • probably 6 or 7 speaker grills
  • Big valve head
  • Top mount IC
  • A/C compressor and condenser (probably junk)
  • 3 alternators
  • various switches (headlight, fog light, etc.)
  • 2 Systems Sentries
  • 2 EATC Head Units
  • couple of dipsticks
  • 2 power antennas
  • '83-'86 NOS Bra

I also have an '85 oil pan. I can't, for the life of me, remember how I acquired it as I have never had, nor will I ever have a use for it. :dunno: There's more down there, but I can't remember what it all is.

picture 3 or 4 coupes with no bodies. that's barely a dent in the pile.

i could literally replace every single, yes EVERY single part on my car at least 3 times without reusing anything from the previous attempt.

makes me wonder sometimes, do i own them or do they own me... Smile

and that's just the parts that are mine! my father is double or triple that! Big Grin

yeah, we dig these cars, lol

Brand new in the boxes set of 4 PRC shocks and struts

Mildly cracked head (could be repaired)
Brand new HR980 with rebuilt clutch (and 16 lbs of R12 for refills))
Decent set of headlights, tail lights, and front turn signals (2 of these)
Nearly new set of front inner markers
IHI turbo
A few ABS and PRC computers
Various labels, emblems, small trim pieces, etc
4 Snowflakes that need refinishng
A few sets of HVAC controls
A few IRCMs, BAROs, etc
Spare set of cleaned / flowed injectors
Extra power seat switches, window switches, etc
Spare distributors, TFIs, coils, etc, etc
A bunch of fuel pumps, pump hangers / flanges, etc
Several spare instrument clusters
Extra home made 140 speedo

Lots more if I had the ambition to actually go look thru my junk piles.

Jeff and Pete:
I suggest you check the struts/shocks to see if they are still pressurized. One of my 4 new PRC shocks lost some of it's pressure .... the 1 new PRC strut is ok. So, from time to time I cycle them acouple of times.
This is some of the new things I have:
- 2 sets of headlights
- 2 sets of inner/outer running
- 1 set of cornering lights
- 1 T3/T4 turbo
- 1 Stinger exhaust system (dual)
- 3 fog lights
- 4 Shocks (1 with low pressure)
- 1 Strut
- 1 set PRC strut/shock (less than 50 miles from my black TC)
- Plus some refurbished headlights and inner/outer lights

Carl and Pete, once every 2 or 3 months, I take all 4 of mine out of the boxes and cycle them several times, including turning the little hard/soft thingy at the top of them. So far mine are all doing fine.
