what perfromance upgrades next

I have about 2k to spend on upgrades for my TC and don't know which way to go. I'm torn between a BO-Port head, Megasquirt engine management, or NO2. I have no experience in turning EFI computer systems so I'm not sure if the Megasquirt is over my head or not, even the one from Turbo-Dad on TF. I want to get about 350 HP out of my set up.

Please give me any suggestions.

Im no expert but I think your biggest gain out of the 3 would be the head. Assuming its basicly stock, and with everything else opened up in that system its the only restriction, along with maybe a 3" turbo elbow.
1988 Turbo Coupe - A237 cam, K&N Cone, T3(.60-.63), 255 Walbro, Gillis BV, gutted and knifed intakes, ported e6, 3" elbow/dp to dual 2.5s, Kirban and spearco fmic.

Up next, ported head, t3/t4 upgrade.

The head would probably be your biggest bang.
You have a T3 now. That and the stock injectors are going to peak out in the same HP range of 280 to 300. After that you are going to have to get a bigger turbo to get more HP and bigger injectors to feed it. That is when you will need an aftermarket management system. By then you would want the head ported anyhow, so do it early and enjoy it.

Call BO and have him build you a head. The HP is in the head and valve train. BO heads are awsum.
He will install seats that will prevent cracks and larger valves. His heads are not cheap but worth every penny. I dynowed one and the HP gain was tremendous over a stock head. Like night and day. Tom Senior. Smile

Another vote for the head, also stage 3 hybrid t3/t4 50 trim turbo, bob's log, 3" elbow, alky injection...

The power is in the head....which applies with all engines. You can boost the heck out of it. Some people do that. And deal with all the problems lots of boost causes.

But a nice head will help you make more power at your currently level....but you are almost out of fuel now. A nice head is just going to make that worse. So after the nice head mod...you are going to have to learn about the more fuel.

thanks guys, was leaning towards the head anyway. I noticed no said anything about NO2. Anyone using it on a mostly stock motor with good results?

There are a few using it, but not very many. Hopefully someone who is will chime in... have you tried searching on turboford? About all I know is that a "wet" system is the one to run and just enough to get the car going until the turbo takes over.

Alky injection can help a bit with fuel but Travis is right. Perhaps you should look into MS or something to allow larger injectors. Do you have a Wideband? Perhaps this is the time for one.
