This is a quick photoshop, but I'm just looking for thoughts from you guys. I used Pete's car, but I got his permission to post it up. Let the ideas fly, thanks!

well, it's better than pink.......

Just kidding, I think it looks nice but I think that combo has been done quite a bit. I'd say go for a different color combo.

I'm not looking to be unique. I'm just looking for a good smooth look. And...I have NEVER seen this paint on a tbird.

Too much contrast for me between the light silver and black, I am not too much of a two tone guy - I have a black t-bird with charcoal on the bottom and I do like that.

I like the two color idea. The black and red looks good. I'm not sure I'd stay with the gray/silver top though.

I think its good but go with what makes you happy!

Ok, here's the deal. My car is already black. The paint isn't the best, but it's not too bad either. The worst of it is on the top, hood, header panel, and the tops of the fenders. I'm looking to repaint in a couple of weeks, and I thought I'd try something different with a color up top that contrasted the black. To save time and money, I'd like to just leave the paint black on the bottom of the car (like in the pic). What color do you suggest for the top? It can really be anything.
To be honest, I'm a bit shocked from the replies so far. I thought the silver and black would get good feedback.

A more metallic silver could look real good. I'm not a huge fan of the stock gray, which is whats in the pic.

My car is a mixture of gray and rust Smile

Bright shiny silver is what's in the pic. Maybe it's just the lighting. I agree, though. The silver needs to be bright.

it doesnt look to bad, i would prolly jus go with an 1/8 inch red stripe, the one in the pic looks to wide. use the 1/8 or maybe 1/4in stripe to give it more of a clean look.

i plan on doing Med Metallic Red with black from the side moldings down. kinda like a fox mustang look. Big Grin

Thanks for the thought about the thickness of the red. I planned on picking out a few different sizes of the pin stripe and testing them to see which I liked best. The stripe will be stick tape instead of paint, so I have an easy way to test. It's just thick in the pick to make it stand out against the black. It took me all of 3 minutes to work that photo shop.
