Wetness down near the rail and other musings...

So, I'm disconnecting my KS today and I noticed I've got quite a bit of wetness back behind the intake on the fuel rail. The thing is, I don't smell fuel, so it's got to be oil. Man, this thing is leaking from everywhere.

Also, I'm going to be installing a new FPR, and I wondering which piece is it. I'm pretty sure it's up near the middle of the rail that has a vacuum line coming right off the upper intake. Is that correct?

Also, I need some documentation. Is there any specific manual you guys recommend? In the world of German cars, our Bible is the Bently service manual. What's best for the T-coupes?

Thanks,
Chris

I'm just going to start from the top and work my way down. New turbo supply and return lines and then try to find where it's leaking from on the driver's side of the engine.

Besides the valve cover, what could leak over there?

The oil manifold to cyl head. The oil sender to oil manifold. The turbo supply line to oil manifold. A cracked turbo supply lind. valve cover gasket. Cylinder head gasket. oil filter to oil cooler. Oil cooler to block
Oil level sending unit in pan. Oil pan gasket. Oil drain plug. Dip stick tube to block. Oil seperator to block. Rusted out oil seperator. Oil out the dipstick if PCV is bad. Oil galley plug on th eback end of cylinder head. Those are the most common ones [Image: biggrin.gif]
