wet floorboards

I have finished up getting my 88TC to daily driver status. There is one more annoying thing I need to fix. Everytime it rains, the passenger side rear floor gets soaked with water when the car is stationary. The carpet is only wet (as in a puddle of water after a good rain) in the middle. Anyone have or had this problem? I assume it is a seal around the side window, the rear window, or maybe the roof strips (dont know what function they serve exactly).I would like to avoid ripping out the interior to find this and am hoping someone has had the problem. Thanks.

Sounds like to find out exactly where it is you'll have to sit in while it's pouring out.Sounds like it may be the seal around the windsheild to me.

You may want to take a friend with you to the local car wash and sit inside like suggested. Hopefully, it will leak and you can see exactly where it is coming from. Good Luck.

I am having the same exact problem. But mine seems to get wet on both sides...but more so on the rear passenger floor board. The hump in the back is always dry...and ther is never water in the front seats. This is only after a lot of rain though..and not that bad. I have a moon roof...and it seemed as if the headliner was wet towards the rear of the car. How hard is it to remove the headliner?? And how should I go about fixing the leak? I just fixed one I had in the trunk bc of my tail light...could the water from the trunk some how gotten in the back seat??

hey i had the same problem only on the driver side and it was because someone had run a new peace of wire threw the fire wall and dident put the rubber thing back in the hole so the water jsut ran down the wire and onto my floor it was a real big pain in my a** and after spending $40 on a new moonroof seal the problem was still there
so mabey look to see if there is anyholes in the fire wall where water could get in
