Wattage of headlights and foglights??

I was wondering what the wattage rating was for the headlights and for the foglights. I'm looking at some xenon high intensity stuff and wanted to try some out, but I don't want to overload the wiring. Anyone got any info on this stuff?

Check turboford.org, there was a recent thread about this. I've surfed around, and I would run the Sylvania Silverstars which use stock wattage. If you go to higher wattage bulbs, you may overload the stock harness/connectors. You can order an upgrade harness with relays for $50 here: http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts.cfm?...goryid=279
I'm going to save my pennies and drop $550 on this Phillips true HID system: http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/Xeno...s-Kits.htm
It's a lot of money, but you can transfer the kit to any other car that uses 9004 bulbs. I'm really unhappy with the headlights on my TC. I'm running higher wattage hyperwhite bulbs (I don't recommed this but yes I have done it and so far no problems). They are brighter than stock, but still no comparison to my Dad's 86 quad light bird with regular halogens, or my 89 Dodge Ramcharger with Sylvania Cool Blues. BTW, the other day I checked and with the lights on I've got 12.5 volts at the battery and 10.5 volts at the headlight. Therefore an upgrade harness would help a bit - I could probably get 12 volts at the headlight feed, since power comes directly from the battery.
87 TC, T5, t3/t4, alky spray, 3" exhaust. 13.65 @ 102.75 on radials

You can't upgrade the foglights to 100 watts unless you add a relay. If you don't, if you're lucky you'll blow fuses. If not, you'll burn up your foglight switch and/or wiring.

RELAYS RELAYS RELAYS RELAYS!
USE RELAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you dont you will smoke the front wiring hrness and then wires inside the car and have a nice lil fire that may cuase a bigger fire. best to upgrade wiring and relays , use abput 14gauge wire for soem purposes , or larger,

on my stereo ive been having provblesm with my amp cutting out, happened becuase my speaker wires going to the sub are too small i was using 18gauge for 700 watt sub, now i have 12gauges oxygen free wire and it wont cut out naymore, cna crank it even louder,

BTW i use my FACTORY fog lights, i can see mroe with them then the standard driving lights,
aftermarket driving lights light up everything, the factory lnses give out a very wide "line" beam lighting upo the road not the soroundign area, i use 100watt bulbs in factory lenbses (mine have cracked form heat) but i can see way better then 150watt driving lights i had too.

I was looking for something more along the lines of miniature Daylighter effect... I loved it when I had those on my crown vic's front bumper... could see for about 2 miles

they sell cheap "driving" lights that use the h3 bulb and are the same siZe as our fog lights (87-88) i had them fo whiel with the 15owatt bulbs, but i had relays tapped in to my wiring so i didint every risk of over heating the wire witht he extra current
