This is the brand new defective Seal Power

As an old time engine builder i always double check everything. In this case this is my new engine for the MIDNIGHTER. My High performance Turbo Coupe. (5.0 and camaro eater) I Installed the main bearings and checked the thrush end play before installing the caps(standard procedure).Right on the money .006. After installing the lower caps i lost the end play completely??? So i took it apart and tried another set. Same thing??? What was going on??
So i posted for a used bearing and B replied that he had a new clevite 77 for position 3. I was estatic to say the least. Because i did not want another Seal power one. B so kindly sent me the bearing and look at the results. The Seal Power bearings inside diameter was off by a MILE. The clevite was perfect. I called Seal Power with absolutely no help and basically was told i was doing something wrong. So with that said i sent my S/P rep walking and i do not use their stuff any more. Look at the difference in the inside diameter of the bearing. Its off by a mile. Now the only problem i have is i need a clevite rep to visit me in place of the S/P guy. Once again I thank B from the bottom of my heart for helping me out with this issue. THANKS B!!!!

DONT USE Seal Power Main Bearings untill they fix the problem. I personally do not think they will. Just ME!!

Makes me happy, that I have a stock of NOS Ford bearings and a stock of good standard size crankshafts.

WOW!!! Thats hard to believe...but pictures and the mic sure tell the story! Cant emphasis enough to the younger guys that measuring EVERYTHING... more that once...is critical to engine reliability and long life. I'm surprized that S/P turned a blind eye...

Glad I could be of assistance!

I sure hope the people who rebuilt my motor didn't use Seal Power bearings!
