I can't for the life of me remember how to "do" the timing belt and tensioner. I know how to time n all but how exactly do you take the tensioner and all off? And put it back on? Friend just shot my old tensioner spring across the garage somehow....hm..oops.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have the tensioning tool? If not you can use a socket adaptor and fit it into the area where the adjustment bolt is. I use a socket adaptor that I ground down to fit and use a breaker bar to move the pulley.

Well...i got the timing all done and crowbared the tensioner so its on good n tight. Worked great for about an hour of driving (some fairly hard too). I let it site and idle for a few mins in front of my house to let the turbo cool and went inside. When I came back out it was running like crap again. And theres no way the timing belt slipped this time so it must be something else. What gives? Any more ideas?

Check the timing marks just to make sure and it that's ok then pull the codes.
