Walker Stock type exhaust

Hi all,

This may be useless information;  You may have noticed that walker available part numbers show the left tailpipe is available and the right is not.  This is because the left pipe is for the Mark VII.  As it happens I have a Mark VII and two TC's.  I took a stock replacement exhaust off my Turbo Coupe parts car.  I compared here to the walker Mark VII exhaust.

A couple of observations: My parts car had a left tailpipe (pictured) that was different. The "good" TC had the same pipe on it as the new one here. The one that is listed, and it is obvious that it fits right. However, the used one above still did fit. Luckily, it had the part number on it and it was IPC 5T5125. It cross references to the Walker but not the same. These are Mark/T-bird/Cougar part numbers.

Two observations on the passenger's side:

1. That pipe is obviously the same, and I don't mean sort of. It's identical. Except....
2. The new Walker pipes are not the same size left and right, ha ha. The passenger's side is even smaller than the "proper" 1-7/8".

Walker is dirt cheap - they do make a Mustang 2-1/2" set of pipes and I wonder how they would fit. I could find out for $45 a side.

These are not large pipes, but if you're interested, part numbers here are for the Mark VII
Left walker 45010 (this is no joke $15 on rockauto)
Right Walker 45009 (costs way more at $18)
