Ok, did this OUTSIDE in the COLD TODAY!!!! i feel as if i have earned a badge of honor for this.....followed the write up listed in the tech articles, but for ACT cars, there is one HUGE DIFFRENCE!!!!!
I have found that the entire BLOWER ASSEMBLY must come out. The location of the bolts that encase the heatercore itself are not conducive to being removed inside the car. They dont face the firewall. There are five 7mm bolts that face the top of the dashboard, and you will never have room/leverage to get them out inside the car, so the assembly MUST COME OUT, once out, just remove the bolts, and put the new core in.....reverse installation goes exactly as how you took the dash apart....took me from 9-2(it was cold, had to take breaks to warm up), but other than that, everything was easy.....note to moderators....it may be helpful to others with ACT if you post this remark as a side note in the tech section for heatercore removal.
